wishin, hopin, spring breakin'...

So as of 1:20pm today, I am officially on spring break!  It seriously couldn't have come at a better time.  I've been craving this time to focus on self care, spend time with family, friends, myself, and the Lord.  Too much time in front of a classroom full of kids can eventually make an introvert, like me, feel depleted.

As much as I want to go with the flow this next week, take each day as it comes, and hope for blazing hot weather so we can lay on the beach, there are some things that are definite plans for us.

Starting tomorrow, I get to hang out with my HS BFF and do our favorite thing tasting.  We're members at Ponte Winery in Temecula...yes, we highly recommend...and we're headed up to pick up our shipment and do a little tasting.  We're always open to suggestions!

Tomorrow night, my college roomie and family are coming to stay with us for a few days!  It's been way too long since I've seen this girl.  One thing I adore about our friendship is that we always pick up right where we left off...and an added bonus is that our men get along great and kids love each other too!!  Can't wait to see you, Ferg!

I've picked out a few books I want to read.  My list is SO long and I never have time to read all that I want to, so I'm hoping this week I'll have opportunities to read outside while Claire plays with Coco, read at the beach, and stay up late at night.  I'm really hoping to get through these three...

We know for sure we're going to be headed to The Happiest Place on's such a fun family time for us every time we go.  Anyone else going this week??  This pic is from December when we went for my sis, Holly's was like 80 degrees on December 1st...with snow on the castle!  Amazing!

I also plan on spending tons of time with this girl...

...and keep studying up about Young Living essential newest obsession!

I'm hoping that during this week I can stay on top of my  time management goals for April's Intentional Living Project.  Time management is so hard for me when I'm not at work.  At school, I have a schedule I have to follow in order to get everything done that I need to.  So when I'm home, I have no concept of time.  A few goals I've made for myself in this area are:
*wake up by 5:30am (don't think I'll be keeping this commitment during spring break!)
*sticking to a schedule when I get home from school (homework, dinner, bath time, reading to Claire, bed).  This goal is mostly for Claire, but it helps keep me on track so I can keep her healthy and energized during the week.
*Monitor my time at home on the computer.  I know so many people struggle with this, it's just so easy to get sucked in.  Before you know it, it's been hours...need to be better about this.

Alright...I'll be back soon!  I'm sure I'll have updates with all the fun, relaxing, busy things we're doing over our break.  And hopefully have a nice tan to show for it. ;)
