grateful heart

I love starting my week with a grateful heart.  I missed writing this post last week when we were in Maui (more on that later) because my days were all mixed up.

This week, I am so grateful for Steve.  For those of you who know him, you know about his quirky personality.  That's one of the things I love most about him.  You never know what he's going to say, how he's going to respond, how late he's going to show up.  All of these things used to make me so nervous, especially when we were around other people.  And now, they're some of the things I love most about him...minus the always late part.

Last week in Maui, we got to spend a lot of one-on-one time together and I loved every minute.  My in-laws had told us before we left for paradise that they'd love to watch Claire as often as possible so we could go do our own thing.  I know, I could write a whole "grateful heart" post on that alone.

I have to say, it was wonderful.  Long walks, coffee every morning, shopping, swimming, lunch, naps.  It was just what we needed.  I feel like now that we're back home, we're so much stronger, our hearts so much more connected, we're on the same page, and for that I'm so grateful.
