friday favorites

So we're back from NYC...Steve went straight to work from the airport last night and I'm going in to school for a training from 8:30a-4p.  Nothing like a warm welcome home from 8 days of vacation!  Seriously though.  I wouldn't trade in any part of those 8 days for anything.

So we're back...and like I said, I'm back to work.  Claire starts 1st grade a week from Monday.  I'm trying to wrap my mind around having a schedule, making lunches, washing uniforms, being on my feet all day in the classroom...it's going to be tough to readjust.

So since I'm not ready to focus on any of those things yet, let's just give a quick recap of some of my favorite posts from this week...

+ I love goals.  And I love the idea of back to school goals.  I've never done them before, but with Claire and I getting ready to go back in 11 days (insert sad face), we need some goals to keep us on track.  Thanks Erika for the idea!!

+ This post from Amy...keeping it real about why she blogs.  I love her heart, she is so real and genuine.  And I love her name. ;)

+ And since I jus got home from NYC last night...I have to choose this post about sweet Catherine's recent NYC trip!  Oh, I'm so ready to go back!

+I started using essential oils at the beginning of this year.  And I LOVE them.  If you don't use them, you should look into it.  They're amazing.  Emily has been doing a back to school series on oils.  So good.  And...if you have any oily questions, let me know!

+As a mom, I'm loving all the "first day of school" posts going up.  As a teacher, it makes me sad summer is over!  One of my fave back to school posts is from my sweet friend, Natalie.  This was a sweet reminder that it's time for my focus to shift, to re-prioritize, and finish getting ready for school!

Back to school....it's coming so quickly. We don't go back til after Labor Day but as each days goes by it seems that there is never enough time to do all of the things we wanted to do. I guess e will just make the best of what we have! Off to check out your favorites this week.

E goes back to school after Labor Day - I know she's excited but I'm sort of dreading it! I've always been curious about essential oils so I'm definitely checking that post out. If you have any other info, feel free to send it my way! Thanks for linking up, have a great weekend!

Welcome back! So tough to go straight from holidays into work routine...ugh. Dunking your head into ice cold water of reality! But you'll be back in the swing soon enough :) Wishing you a great week ahead of prep and planning and time with your girl!

Thank you!! It has been tough...that's why it's taking me so long to respond to comments. But yes, back to reality, and I'm actually looking forward to having some sort of routine again!
