grateful heart

My heart is so full of gratefulness right now, I feel like I could write forever about all the things.  Here are just a few things I'm so grateful for today...

+friends who are like family.  Claire & I got to hang out with some of these friends on Saturday.  It's always so easy, so fun, and I always walk away with a full heart.  To me, those are the best kind of friends to have.

+friends who've been in your life for 20+ years.  They know who you are because they've been there through it all.  These are the kinds of friends you never have to explain yourself to, they just get you.  These are the friends I call my lifelines.  So grateful they're in my life.

+I'll post more about NYC soon, but I'm beyond grateful for our babymoon.  It was THE BEST time.

+our village...aka our family and friends.  I'm back to work now and Steve has been busy working for the last several days.  During these times, our family steps right in to help with Claire however they can.  Last night, Claire spent the night with my sis and bro-in-law and is spending the day at the beach with them (lucky girl).  Then later today she's going to my parent's home for who knows how many days.  Since becoming a working mom, I've relied a lot on my family to help with Claire and I don't take any of it for granted.  They've all gone so far above and beyond in giving of their time, and I am so grateful.

What about you?  What are you grateful for today?

this is such a good list. :) friends who are like family are some of the best things to be grateful for and have in your life! sometimes, those are the ones who are left standing by your side even after everyone else has turned away....they really are lifelines!

Friends of all types - they are such a blessing!! And family who helps you - I will be very grateful for this myself soon enough! They of course want to help me now but are too far - but soon I will be living in the same place with my 'village' - hooray! :) I hope your first week back at school goes well. Guessing it's a prepping room / planning lessons week and the kids start after Labor Day? Either way, I hope you get some rest during the week too!

I'm not one to have a lot of friends, so the ones I do have and so important to me! And yes...your village is waiting! I'm sure they're all so excited! First day back was long, but good. The kids come back on Monday!

Totally....I'm a total introvert so I don't have a lot of friends. The ones I have are so important in my life, I often refer to them as my lifelines because my time with them is so life-giving.

Yes! They are life-giving to me, which is so important to have in friends. :)
