grateful heart

Summer.  What can I say?  It was near perfect.  You know that feeling where something can seem to last forever, yet when it's gone you wonder how time flew by so quickly?  That's what I feel about this summer.  We enjoyed Maui, the beach, swimming, BBQ'ing, late nights, sleeping in, popsicles for lunch, the fair, sleepovers, books, a girls weekend to wine country, NYC, boogie boarding, VBS, and late nights.

As sad as I am to say goodbye to one of the best summers of my life, I am excited and filled with anticipation this next season.  A fresh batch of students, routine...and a sweet babe in just a few months.

My heart feels so grateful for all these things it could just burst!  Feeling so undeserving, so unprepared, yet so anxious for all the incredible ways our life is about to change.

At the beginning of this year, our family grieved loss, pain, heartbreak.  And now we're anticipating new life, a fresh start.  My heart is grateful.  What about you?  What are you grateful for today?

I'm grateful for the big changes that came my way this past summer. I accepted a new job and we moved to a new city & state. We moved from a small town into Atlanta so that's been an enormous change. It's been scary but exciting and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunities that have come my way.

You definitely had an amazing summer! I still remember doing all of those kinds of fun things when I was young... late summer nights and lots of pool time and bbqs and having the best time - I bet Claire will remember this summer for a long time! You definitely have one exciting season approaching!!!!!!!! :) I'm so excited for you, too!!!!
