NYC 2

A few more snippets of days 3 & 4 of our trip to NYC...

Steve wanted to know about ALL the CHEESE at Dean & Deluca, which was by far our favorite foodie place.

My sis told me about Laduree, the most beautiful and exquisite Parisian macaron shop (plus they had several other things, but the macarons...they were perfection).

On Sunday we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge.  It was a longer walk than I anticipated, but the views of Brooklyn and Manhattan were amazing.  You can't really capture it with a camera.

When we got to Brooklyn, we went to Smorgasburg, which is a huge flea food market.  Tons of food vendors set up under tents and canopies right on the Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 5, which is close to nothing.  But the crowds...I couldn't believe it...so many people!  Once I started sampling all the food, I could understand why.  It was foodie heaven.

Sunday night we ate and drank at Pub McGee's, which is what the modeled the pub after in the show How I Met Your Mother.  The had pictures of the cast all over the walls, t-shirts you could buy, and drinks names after famous captions from the show.

We decided on a whim to go to the Empire State Building that night, which is where we got engaged 10.5 years ago.  We were able to bypass the 3 hour wait...being preggo in the city is awesome!...and get a few pictures at the top.

The sparkly building to the left of my head is the Chrysler Building.  The views from the top are so beautiful.  It was so fun to go back up and "relive" our memory!...no, Steve did not get down on one knee and re-propose.

My wish for this week would be that the memories we made, the time we shared together would stay close in our hearts.  I'm so grateful for the time away, but being home now, our marriage feels so strengthened.  And I love it.

Oh girl...they were lunch! :) I wanted to go back so bad and get more, but just ran out of time! But yes, they were all so pretty and the inside of the shop was a gorgeous tea shop. Almost felt too fancy for my style!

Macaroons are so romantic, I think :) (Can food be romantic? Don't answer that) Beautiful pictures of you guys! You both look SO happy and content!

I was so mad at myself for not researching that pub! My husband and I had been marathoning it all summer..haha.

Oh you know I'm going to answer that!! YES! They so are...also, they were almost too pretty to eat! Ok....now I'm hungry!

Well we didn't know it existed, but it was like 2 blocks from our apartment. We walked by it a bunch before we realized what it was. The food was just ok, but the drinks were really good. And it looks different inside than on the show. I guess the producers used to always go there for drinks after work, so that's why they modeled it after on the show. It was fun to see all the memorabilia!

Thanks Jen!! We used the camera flash to capture the beauty of the background and someone help up their iPhone with the flashlight on to light our faces. A little trick my hubs likes to use! :) Thanks for stopping by!
