NYC 3

Our last 3 days in NYC were spent mostly walking around the city...Park Avenue, Madison Avenue, Upper West Side, Central Park.  We probably walked at least 25 miles in those 3 days!  We also saw 3 shows each those last 3 days...If/Then, Les Miserables, and  I saw Matilda while Steve went to Wicked.  We LOVE shows...it was definitely a highlight...it's one of the reasons we love to go to the city.

After If/Then, Judy needed a Dr. Pepper.

FAO Schwarz to get a souvenir for Claire...and to play!

Park Ave.

so.much.fun...I could've shopped in here all day!

Serendipity 3 for frozen hot chocolate...delish

Kate Spade on Madison Ave....even Steve loved it!

New York Public Library..so beautiful, but like no books!

Stumptown Coffee...one of the many coffee shops we visited that week.

We wanted to have a picnic in Central  Park, but the day we planned to go it rained.  So we just walked all around it instead.  The rain was so nice because it kept the crowds away and the weather was perfect!

NYC already feels like a lifetime ago.  Now that we're back home working, parenting, paying bills, it almost feels like it never happened.  It just makes me realize we need to make it a priority to travel...just the two of us, the 3 of us, soon the 4 of us...however we do it, we just need to do it!

My wish this week is that we make family trips...even if they're just for a few days...a priority.  My wish is to make memories, to grow stronger as a family through time spent together, and to have amazing adventures.

Wow! I'm so impressed with how many shows you all saw! Next time I need to follow your lead and look for half-price day of tickets.

Thanks!! The only bummer about the 1/2 price tix is that you need to be in Times Square at 11:00 for matinees and 2:00 for evening shows. So a couple days we were out and about and had to rush back to get tix, which usually took at least 2 hours out of our days. Oh well...in the end it was worth it, just added to the craziness.

Oh yes...it was DELISH! And they have different flavors....so yummy! And when you get a chance, go to NYC!! It's so much fun! Thanks for stopping by! :)

We had pb and choc...it was divine! I would've loved to go back another day for another flavor, but just ran out of time! I love taking trips, but am bad about putting money aside for them! I need to be better about budgeting for them, even short weekend trips.

I love them, too. My dad was always really good about taking us on 2-3 family trips per year. They were usually road trips, but my sisters and I have the BEST memories of it! So much fun! Thanks for stopping by!!

So fun!!! And how did STEVE feel about American Girl Place?! ;) We have one here in Chicago and I've only gone in once (so many people!) - but I secretly wished I had someone to buy a doll for... kinda surprised I didn't walk out with one for myself considering I ALWAYS wanted one growing up and never had one. (I'm not bitter at all!) (#samanthaforever)

So...funny story about Steve in AG. He stayed outside and made a couple work phone calls and I went in and went a little nuts (a mild understatement). When he finally came to find me, he made me put a bunch of stuff back. I then proceeded to act like a 3 year old and beg for more outfits! Haha...finally came to my senses and realized I was acting all cray! And....good news for you...they brought Samantha back...for a limited time, so NOW is the time! #doitdoitdoit

hahah! I am laughing out loud!! Oh my gosh- Samantha is BACK?! (I'm seriously considering getting it and keeping it... you know, just in case I have a girl one day) ;)

haha...and no, you don't need a daughter to get #samantha. I still have Kiersten, and I just recently started letting Claire play with her. :)
