grateful heart

This week, I'm thankful for the little things.  Sometimes those are the things that fill my heart the most, bring the most joy, and keep me grounded:

+ friends that are honest, even when it's hard

+ health

+ community...something I've prayed for for awhile and God has answered in the most unexpected way

+ a healthy, growing babe

+ time with sweet friends

+ a pool to use in this crazy hot weather

+ clean laundry

+ a spontaneous date night

+ the way my family loves Claire

+ consistent work for my creatively talented husband

+ new friends

+ 28 awesome 4th grade students

+ a relaxing weekend of no makeup or schedule

+ maternity clothes from a friend

+ my stomach moving like it's been invaded by an alien...love it!

It really is the little things, and these are the things my heart is most grateful for today.

I remember my belly rolling around like ocean waves. Such a sweet feeling even if there is an alien baby in there! Thanks for sharing :)

this is a huge, awesome list - I love it. (I was just talking about bffs being honest, even when it just sucks, with my girls on Saturday night. When you know they love you - it's much easier to take... and I always appreciate their honesty - I know they know me and I can trust their opinions!)

What a lovely list of little things to be grateful for. I remember when my sister was pregnant I enjoyed watching her stomach moving. I also enjoy having friends who are honest, even when it may not be something you want to hear. I feel the love through their honesty, good to have friends like that. :)

It's so crazy!! But I never get sick of it, even when I'm in the middle of doing things, I stop and focus on it...makes me never want to forget!

Totally. I had 2 really honest conversations with friends this week, and it was so refreshing. Just a sweet reminder that they're my people, no matter what! So thankful!!

Thank you! It really is the weirdest thing to see your stomach move that way! And it feels crazy! Friends are the best, I often refer to them as my lifelines because that''s what they are to me...life giving! And when we can be honest with each other, it just makes it that much sweeter!

Such a great list. one thing I so miss is a pool. It's getting chilly now, but I miss having the freedom of just jumping in.

This is such a wonderful list. :) I really hope you can stay cool as much as possible. That heat wave out there is ridiculous! And yes, to free clothes! Esp Maternity clothes! always a plus. I can't wait to see pics of the adorable growing babe. <3

The simple things are what make life so great! {I love clean laundry but I absolutely hate doing the laundry.}

I know. Having a pool is a must for us now! But it's totally something we take for granted! If I wasn't at work during the day right now, I'd totally be home enjoying the pool! We're having 100+ degree temps right now. Bleh!!

Thank you!! I kept trying to think of a topi c to write about and all these little things kept popping in my head! So I went a different direction! This heat is out of control! On my way home from work at 5:00, it was 100 degrees! It's horrible! And yes...I need to post more recent bump pics. Planning to have hubs take some soon!!

Thank you! I was trying to think of something specific to write about and all these little things kept coming to mind, so I figured it was a sign! :)

Girl...I hate laundry! But CLEAN, FOLDED, PUT AWAY laundry is the best!! :) If I were rich, I'd hire a full time cook and someone to do my laundry!

WONDERFUL things!! It's hard to believe it's hot anywhere, it's gotten cool and breezy here already! Finding community is such a special thing. It took me a very long time in England and once I had it, I finally felt at home. (And then we learned we were moving, ha). I am praying that we find it here soon.
I'm so glad you have a good class this year! I hope that you continue to enjoy them and that they soak up all the learning you give them :) (I can't wait for the alien movement phase to come...I didn't feel much last time because of where the placenta was laying so I'm really hopeful that this time will be different!)

After these last few days, I'm ready for cool and breezy! Not quite ready for fall weather (not that we get that in San Diego!), I'm such a summer/beach/pool girl! Thank you for always being so encouraging! I appreciate your responses to my posts, as they always fill me up! :)
