january goals

"Make New Year's goals. Dig within, and discover what you would like to have happen in your life this year. This helps you do your part. It is an affirmation that you're interested in fully living life in the year to come." -Melody Beattie

Well it's been a few months since I've posted my goals.  Lately I'm just trying to make sure my teeth are brushed, I shower regularly, we don't run out of diapers, and drink lots of coffee each day to make up for all the sleep I'm not getting!  And I'm mostly successful in accomplishing those goals!

BUT since it's the new year, it feels like the right thing to start it off by setting some goals for the month.  Plus, I seriously need to get us back on track!

So for January:

* send out thank you notes for gifts for the babe/dinners/etc.
* clean out Claire's room (I think this is on the list every month!)
* finish organizing Jude's room
* keep building oily business
* attempt to read part of a book...like finish one that I started in November during bed rest!
* complete a cleanse...I've never done this before, so I'm a little nervous!
* get the Cooking Club back up and running!
* plan and execute another Wine Club night.

OK...that's good for now.  Hoping I can seriously knock some of these things off my list!  I love getting organized, to me it's such a visual, tangible way to show stuff is getting done!  And seriously, some of these things are just plain fun!

I've been wanting to try a cleanse! Which one are you doing? Tell us about it if you do it! And... both times I had a newborn my only goal was to make sure they were fed and happy. And that's a win!

I love the new family picture for your profile picture! Cleaning out things always feels good, but is hard to get started. Accomplishing any of that with all of the normal stuff (like lots of coffee haha) will be huge! What book are you going to try to finish?

I agree with Sarah- I'm loving the new family pic! :) I have some interesting feedback when it comes to cleanses... unless you are dead set on trying one, then I will keep my feedback to myself haha. I love seeing you back on here!!!!

I'm doing the one that was talked about on the Essential Families fb page. I'm doing a more modified version since I'm breastfeeding, so mostly just eating healthier and staying away from glutton and dairy most of the time. :) I am using the vitamins they recommended too.

Thanks Sarah! Yes, I love cleaning out! We just have so much stuff! I'm married to a pack rat and my 6 yr old is one, too. And I'm the opposite....so one day's she's going to come home from school and be like, " Where is all my stuff?!?" 😊 I started to re-read the Harry Potter series when I was on bed rest. I've read them before so I needed something that was easy to read, knowing that I may not get to finish reading all of them. I already know how it ends. ☺️

Oh thank you!! It's a little weird to have a Christmas pic after Christmas, but I figured it's bette to use that than a Oregon pic!! It's just temporary til I find something I like better! And I'd love to know your cleansing thoughts. Are they 💩🙊 and 💨?? I don't get out much!! I'm actually doing one using Young Living products, but I'm not going super hard core since I'm breastfeeding. More just eating healthier and avoiding gluten and dairy as much as possible!! But please, share your wisdom!
