looking in before looking out

I love the beginning of the year. It's the perfect time to reflect on the year that's gone by and set goals for the upcoming year. Not just goals of tasks to complete or things to accomplish. But a time to look at the inside, my heart, and challenge growth. What are things I need to work on?  How can I improve?  What steps to I need to take to make these improvements?

So...looking inward before looking out. Not judging so quickly. Being more loving. Reaching out to help more. Giving of my time without the expectation of gain. Being a better listener. Having more patience.

I also want to work on the outside...like getting back into shape physically!  I LOVE Pilates.  If you've never it, I highly recommend.  After having Jude, I'm realizing how different my body is after giving birth at 35 than it was after giving birth at 28!  I'm going to have to work harder to get it back to where I want to be.  So I might as well do a workout that I love!

Another area I want to keep growing in my knowledge of essential oils.  I've learned so much, but I still have so far to go.  I want to keep reading, integrating, sharing, and using them to continue to keep us healthy, as well as other family members and friends.

At the end of 2015, I want to look back and know I've tangibly grown in all these areas. Is growth easy? No. There must be a lot of pruning for growth to happen. But I want to be pruned. I'm ready for it.

"looking inward before looking out" - wow. I feel like I need to really think about that before I'm able to totally understand it. I would love to get back into Pilates.. it's been so long! Do you go somewhere or do tapes/online?
