grateful heart

It's been so long since I've sat down this space.  I've missed it.  But I'm so enjoying being home with my sweet little man, this space has not been as much of a priority.  So if you're reading this, thank you for sticking around!

Today I'm linking up with Emily from Ember Grey for Grateful Heart.  So many things to be grateful for.  But right now, I am so thankful for Easter break and all the extra time I was able to spend with my girl.

We started our break by hosting my college roomie and her family for a few days.  She the kind of friend I can go a long time without seeing (although I don't like to!!), and then we pick up right where we left off.  The best!  She and her hubs and 3 kids are always so much fun to be with.  We went to the drive-in to see Home (my first drive-in experience!!), and spent a day at the bay playing on their jet ski.

Easter Sunday we went to church and then to my aunt's house for lunch and Easter baskets.  My aunt always thinks of all the details, her house is amazing and the hospitality even better.  It's always so fun to be with everyone there together.

A lot of the break we spent at home...relaxing, catching up on projects, and playing.  Claire has the best imagination.  She's so good at playing, it's awesome.  I love when she plays at the kitchen table so I can hear her little imagination at it's best.  I hope she never loses that.

I spent a lot of time snuggling my sweet guy.  He's had a bit of a cold, so that's been rough (especially at night!), but the snuggles are the best.  He rarely falls asleep on my shoulder anymore, so I had to document when he actually did!

My girl lost another tooth!  That makes 7 teeth now gone!  It's always bittersweet....just another reminder of how quickly they grow.  I love the little lady she's becoming, but I always miss the little girl she was.  Soaking up each little moment.

My heart is full of gratitude for these months I've been able to be home full time.  Literally counting the days I have left.  And it's weeks like the last that my heart is so thankful for...extra time with both of my kids to just soak them up and make memories.

Ah, thank you for saying that. I've totally let myself play the comparison game lately! So bad I know. Need to get my booty back on a workout schedule!

Thank you friend! I know I'll enjoy my time at work. AND...it's only for 39 days and then summer break! And I'm hoping to not go back in the fall, we'll see! :)

What an awesome weekend! I think when E loses her first tooth I will really feel like she's grown up. Not like registering her for Kindergarten made me cry or anything...
