six || the day you became a sister

My Sweet Girl.  Today you are seven. SEVEN! My little girl is growing up to be a little lady.  Your 6th Year has been full of highs and lows. You learned to read.  You made new friends.  You saw your first and second Broadway shows.  You became a big sister.  You completed two Awana books.  You went to Maui for the first time.  You went to Yosemite for the 8th time.  You discovered that your love language is gift giving.  You learned how to do fractions. You learned about gun safety and ammo with Daddy. You learned how to do the butterfly in swimming.  You learned how to boogie board and fell in love with the ocean.

You are so determined.  You are stubborn.  You love to create and imagine.  You sing in an opera voice and it's nice, but not always.  You don't like piano lessons.  You want to be a teacher when you grow up.  You wish you had curly hair like Auntie Katie.  You love American Girls.  You are good at saving your money.  You love to give gifts and spend quality time with people.  Your best friend is Sierra, but you're reaching out to other friends as well.  You love your teachers.  You're starting to love to read for fun.  You love to watch TV.  And go to the movies.  You are sassy. Like, the sassiest.  You have great style.   You are inquisitive. You can be thoughtful. You make our family complete.

Daddy and I are so proud of you.  We're constantly cracking up over the things you say, songs you sing, and questions you ask.  We laugh at how smart you are because we're shocked at how your mind works. Seriously, you are so smart. Just like Daddy.

We love you so much.  We are so incredibly thankful that you are our daughter.  We couldn't have chosen a better girl to call our own...Happy 7th Birthday Claire Bear, Booty, Goof Nugget.

She is the absolute cutest, oh my gosh. "You sing in an opera voice and it's nice, but not always." hahaha ;) Happy Birthday, Claire!

The crazy thing is, her opera voice is actually pretty amazing. It's just so dang high pitched and LOUD! But I love it when she does it....she's so confident in it, it's amazing. One of these days I'll be able to sneak a video.
