june goals

It's been awhile since I've done a "goals" post. Lately my goals have been to make sure my teeth are brushed and keep a tiny human alive. Since I've been able to successfully accomplish those two things, I figured I should set a few more goals!

So for June:
+ finish reading War Brides.  I'm enjoying the historical part of it, although the story is slow moving.  But now I'm invested in all these characters, so I have to finish it!
+ clean out laundry room, closets, & kitchen
+ do at least 1 Pilates class a week.  Have you done Pilates on a reformer?  It's my fave!
+ try at least 1 barre class.  Super nervous about this, but I keep hearing great things!
+ participate in the Blogger Booty Challenge...are we seeing a trend here?!?
+ start reading off my summer reading list....I can't wait for this!  The summer is a time I actually have time to read.  My list keeps growing... I may end up listening to some audiobooks (you do what you can, right?!?) So, we'll see how this goes.

Alright...I gotta stop there!  I feel like a kid in a candy shop making these goals....I have high hopes to get it all done, but let's not forget about that semi-high maintenance 6 month old I still gotta feed!

I always say I am going to do a monthly goals post and never do. Perhaps bc I always worry that I won't accomplish what I set out to do but your term goals with grace has given me hope. Thank you! Maybe now I'll be more forgiving of myself!

Haven't done Barre for a while since there are no classes near where I live, but it was fun back when I did it. Definitely burning!

Grace is what gets me through each day! :) I find that writing my goals down is motivating for me to accomplish certain tasks, however, I've learned not to be too hard on myself if I don't get them done. Sometimes it makes me realize I need to NOT spend time doing other things so I can get my priorities taken care of. Other times I need to re-evaluate my goals and make them more attainable for what I'm going through at that time...if any of that even makes sense!! :)

Thank youuuuuuuuu! :)

So you recommend it?!? After I read your "burning" comment, I cringed! Ha!! It's been too long since I've faithfully worked out...it's definitely going to burn! :)

Solid goals, Amy! If you like reformer pilates you'll love barre class! It's easily one of my favorite workouts these days. Also, um hellooo blogger booty challenge! Now that you've shared it I def want to participate!

Yes, I remember it burned pretty hard :) It's pretty low intensity otherwise, it won't get your heart beating hard but you definitely feel it in your muscles!

"I feel like a kid in a candy shop making these goals" hahaha! I have to use that one of these days.

One of my goals is to try a Barre class too!! I'm nervous about loving it so much and then not wanting to stop- those classes are pricey, dang!

These are great goals! I'm seriously struggling with the fact that it's June. I had to write that out the other day and I was in such denial that it could possibly even be June!

Yes!! Participate! Lord knows my booty needs to get in shape for the summer! And...I just went to your blog and see you're from San Diego! YAY...where have you gone for barre classes??

Amy @ Set Free said...

You HAVE to tell me about it! I'd love to know....still have to sign up for a class!

Ok...now that I've written about the barre class, I seriously need to do it. So many people are talking to me about it now....oh geez! Now I've actually got to go! And yes, I'm sure i'll love it since it;s such an expensive way to work out. Hoping to find a decent Groupon so I can go a few times.

I know! I can't believe it either! I still have problems writing 2015! I always write a 4. :)

Haha I know the crazed intentions to get fit!! I too want to find time to focus on post baby body for the summer...just can't quite tell where I can fit it in right now.
I've never tried audiobooking but I think I will...maybe when I'm cooking !

I wish it wasn't so hard to get rid of "baby body." I'm satisfied with my weight, just not with the muffin top! Audiobooks during cooking is a great idea! Claire and I have a 30 minute commute to school right now so we're listening to the Chronicles of Narnia. :)

I joined a really nice gym near my work (Broadway Athletic Club) and they actually offer barre classes, which is basically unheard of for a gym. I've heard good things about Barre Body in PB though! What area of SD do you live in?

We live in Rancho Santa Fe, but are moving further south (and more central) in August.
