a day in the oily life

It's no secret that I love essential oils.  I've always wanted to provide more natural ways of taking care of my kids, my home, our health.  But I never really knew where to start.  When I was introduced to oils almost 2 years ago, I started researching before I "bought in."  But the more research I did, the more I knew oils could and would play a huge role in our every day lives.  I purchased a Premium Starter Kit and slowly got started.  One of the questions I get asked most often is how do I use my oils?  How do I incorporate them into my daily life?  So I thought I would share.

Daily Routine:
Melaleuca: Tea Tree oil, also known as Melaleuca alternifolia, can be found in a wide spectrum of skin care and spa products that can comfort and beautify the appearance of skin.

Elemi: has a spicy, incense-like scent that is soft and somewhat balsamic. A member of the same botanical family as frankincense and myrrh, it has been used traditionally in Europe for the skin. Elemi is highly regarded for reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles, skin support, and for soothing muscles after exercise.

Sacred Frankincense: ideal for those who wish to take their spiritual journey and meditation experiences to a higher level.

Endoflex: can help you maintain overall vitality with a proprietary blend of essential oils that support the endocrine system.

Dragon Time: a blend of calming and soothing essential oils, including clary sage, which contains natural phytoestrogens - the perfect choice for women's emotions during special times and needs. Its balancing properties make it a perfect choice for supporting normal, healthy emotions during the female monthly cycle.

Progessence Plus:  contains a tiny amount of a biologically identical (to humans)
hormone called progesterone that is not only safe, but incredibly beneficial to women. Natural progesterone has no long-term problems associated with it – even at high doses.

SclarEessence: supports normal glandular functions

Ylang Ylang: mood lifter

Aroma Life: to help with the cardiovascular issues I've had since giving birth.

Thieves & Orange: I put 1 drop of each on my toothbrush to help fight germs and help whiten my teeth.

Lavender: I put one drop in my mascara bottle to help strengthen my eyelashes

Cedarwood (in the diffuser): this essential oil includes sesquiterpenes and its powerful scent creates a relaxing, calming, and comforting atmosphere when diffused.

------------------------------------------------

These are a few of the oils I use daily. I know, it seems like a lot!  Crazy enough, there are other oils I use throughout the day, too, but not as regularly as these.  When I began, I used 2-3 oils each day, mostly in my diffuser.  I slowly began to add more oils, trying them in different ways, always researching.  I love experimenting with oils to see how they best work for my kids, the hubs, and me. And I love that we can't overdose on them, so if one of my experiments doesn't work, I can try something different.

Do you use oils?  How do you incorporate them into your daily life?  What's your favorite oil and how do you use it?  If you have any oily questions, I'd love to hear them!  If I don't know the answer, I have a great team of people I can ask.  You can also follow my oily adventure on Instagram: @amycaudill_essentials.

I really want to get into this but don't want to become a supplier. I'm also not sure I want to get a full starter kit or not. Can we chat sometime and let me get some information from you?

You'll be happy to know I created a Pinterest board specifically dedicated to EOs, and then pinned this. Thanks for all the great info, Amy!

Oh good for you!! I know a huge part of people not using their oils is because they're not educated. Trying to teach peopl as I learn and help them realize it's not as hard as it seems!! Thanks for pinning!
