Welcoming "Fall"

So here in San Diego, we'll be experiencing summer weather probably through (at least) October. Yes, we're in school, but we always seem to have weather in the 80's and I can't remember a Thanksgiving where we weren't wearing sandals and short sleeves.  But I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything. This fall, I want to be really intentional about how I spend my days at home (when Claire is in school) and how we spend time on the weekends.  So, this is just some accountability for me to follow through on things I've said we're going to do!

Every year we go to the pumpkin patch.  Our favorite is Bates Nut Farm...I grew up going there!  And every year I buy cute fall-ish outfits for Claire to wear. And every year it's too hot to wear these outfits, so I just let her choose what she wants to wear! But...this year will be Jude's first pumpkin patch and you know I'll be taking a million pictures.

Beach Days!  Hoping to get a few Sundays in at our favorite beach spot, Moonlight Beach in Encinitas.  I've mentioned before that my sis lives 2 blocks up from this beach so we love to park at her house and walk down together.  Annnnd...I love that we can go back to her place and shower off before driving home!

Farmer's Markets.  San Diego has so many to go to, some are better than others, but they're always a fun outing to get out of the house.  One of my favorites is in Little Italy.  So.much.good.stuff.

The San Diego Zoo & Safari Park.  We have passes, but didn't go all summer.  Too hot and crowded!

There are so many other things I'm hoping to get  to do this fall.  And seriously, I love our city.  I don't get out enough and take advantage of all the fun things there are to do here.  But this year I'm going to attempt all the things. :)

One more thing I'm for sure participating in this fall, is the #fallswagswap15.  It's a fun opportunity to get paired up with someone you maybe don't know and send them a package of fun fall themed things (a scarf, nail polish, small decor, pumpkin spice anything, stationery...just a few ideas).  If you want to participate, go here and fill out the form.  Do this by September 15th!

I'm getting so excited to experience fall in Nashville! I'm looking forward to pumpkin and apple picking too. And farmer's markets. And ALL OF IT.

YES! We pretend in San Diego that we have fall. People pull out their boots and scarves and when it gets into the 50's (like in Jan-Feb), we think it's freezing!! Haha...we really have NO IDEA! But I still love all the smells and tastes that come with fall. My mom already has all her decor up. She said she decorated in 90 degree weather, which just seems wrong, but it's looks so dang cute.

I can't even imagine snow! That's just a novelty we visit in the mountains! And usually it's man-made! :)
