Grateful Heart || Longings Fulfilled

Do you ever have those times where you feel like there's just not enough time in the day?  Not the days where you're trying to check things off a to-do list...although that's most of my days.  But the ones when you're doing the things that make your heart sing.  The days you feel the most fulfilled. Like you're doing exactly what you were created for.  And then it's 2:00pm and you realize you haven't eaten a thing.  That was my day yesterday.  I spent a good portion of the day researching, reading, studying things, connecting with people over things that I love, what I'm completely passionate about.  And I'm feeling so exhausted.  So tired.  Like I maybe just ran a race or something (but let's be real.  I don't know what that feels like because I don't run).  And I'm looking at the dishes in the sink and the halfway folded laundry on the sofa, and my kitchen is a disaster thanks to my 10 month old.  And it doesn't even bother me.

That's just how it is when we get to do the things that fulfill us the most. I think that's when we're doing exactly what God has called us to do. He's the One who gave us these desires.  And fulfills these longings in our hearts. And there is nothing greater than knowing you're at the center of His will for our lives.  That's where there's freedom.

That's what I'm grateful for today. Desires. Fulfillment. Freedom.

That sounds like our weekends for the past two months. Yay for days and activities that are life-giving! May there be many more!

Oh I know exactly what you are talking about here. When I'm in the midst of writing a post and it just feels "right" before I know it, time has gone by and other things have been put aside. I don't feel bad about it. Or when I'm in the midst of schoolwork and the lessons just flow out, I'm at my best. Sometimes we need this outpour of creative energy to revitalize our inner being. So glad you got that.

Beautiful! I love your thoughts on this topic! Thank you! I know what you mean :) Those days are so beautiful - when we are fully utilizing those desires God gave us!

Thanks Meagan! I think I've been in this place for awhile, but didn't really notice or acknowledge it. I feel like it won't mean anything and there won't be growth if I don't acknowledge it!

It's so funny how time spent doing what we're meant to do makes us feel recharged AND exhausted :) But it's the good kind of exhausted where you setting in and feel weightless on top of a pillow at the end of the night :)

Love love love this! On the days or weekends that are filled with ministry, we're exhausted but so our spiritual wells are so dang full.

This makes me SO happy :) And yes, I love days like that... especially when I realized I haven't eaten until I've already missed 2 meals, because that's when you KNOW it's been a great/busy day. I'm close to having a day like this, I can feel it. So glad yours found you!

YES! Since starting a small business, I get distracted at my day job...always wanting to do things with my business. Haha...so thankful for the desires the Lord has given me, and now I want to grow my biz to a point that I can quit my other job. :) So now I'm working on the patience part....the hardest part.

Oh, I LOOOOOOVE that! I'm ready to jump back into ministry. We've finally found a home church and I'm so ready to be involved and making community.
