30 Ways to Use Essential Oils || Day 1

If you follow my oily Instagram account, this s a re-cap.  But for those of you who don't, maybe this will help you learn something new...

During the month of November, I've been daily posting ways I use my oils.  I've been given a list of prompts as a guide and of ideas of what to post.  And so...as a re-cap...I'm going to post several ideas over the next few days:

1. drink || I'm so glad Halloween is over and now we can get ready for Thanksgiving & Christmas! I've already started stocking up on the champs and this is one way I love to drink it: add a drop of orange essential oil for an extra delicious flavor. Cheers!

2. werk || 2 of my fave oils to use while I'm working are Stress Away and Highest Potential. I put Stress Away on my wrists and Highest Potential on my shoulders as well as in my diffuser. I love how they both make me feel. And I love how much booty I kick at my teaching job, as well as my wife and mommy job when I'm using these oils!!

3. beauty tip || Make-up brush wash: -1 oz Dr. Bronner's Organic Pure Castile Soap

-8 drops of Tea Tree oil
-8 drops of lavender oil
-1 oz water

Mix all the ingredients together in a small squirt bottle. Shake to combine. Squirt a small amount into the palm of your hand and swish your brush around in it. Rinse your brushes and dry with a clean washcloth.

4. classroom || Being a teacher, I always use oils in my classroom. I have Thieves lozenges in my teacher bag for those days when the germs are spreading more than usual. Purification is great in my diffuser because boys are stinky. I also diffuse Highest Potential and use my Stress Away roller daily. My 2nd grade daughter wears her diffuser necklace to school almost every day. We put different oils on it but one of her favorites in GeneYus from the Kid Scents line.

5 sweet tooth || I don't really have a sweet tooth. I mean, every now and then I love salted caramel and chocolate or donuts or pie. But it's usually easy for me to resist. Weirdo, I know. Trust me, I could eat all the chips and salsa though. BUT when I do get a craving for something sweet, I'll drink 2 oz. of Ningxia, add a drop of ocotea (to support my cardio system) or a drop of lemon, orange, or lime for added flavor. Usually just a couple oz. of this delicious healthy treat is all I need to curb my desire for something sugary.

6. diffuser recipe || Just discovered Dream Catcher. Have always loved White Angelica. They make the perfect bedtime combo.

7. furry friends || Our pup, Coconut, isn't quite two years old. So she still behaves like a puppy. We put one drop of Peace & Calming on her neck when she's acting a little too cray. This oil def lives up to its name for our pup, so helpful!!

8. 5 o'clock || I have a new found love for gin. Add some soda water and favorite flavor of essential oils. My personal faves are basil, lemon, or lime.

9. immune support || One of my favorite ways to support my immune system is with Inner Defense. It has clove, lemon, eucalyptus radiata, Rosemary, cinnamon, oregano, thyme, and lemongrass essential oils in it, all important oils to use to keep my immune system strong!
