Grateful Heart || Thanksgiving

I can not even believe that this is Thanksgiving week.  We've already begun to celebrate with family and friends.  I love this time of year!  Steve and I were just talking about how much has changed in our lives the last few months, the last year, the last 2 years.  And all I can say is God is so good.  All the time He is good.  2 years ago, if you would have told us that this would be our life, we wouldn't have believed you.  And that's how we know it's all from the Lord.  He is so in  every aspect of our lives, and for that I am so grateful.

Today I'm grateful for:

+ the upcoming holiday.  I'm really looking forward to being with my family and celebrating our blessings...too many to count, but wanting to acknowledge them nonetheless.

+ my sweet baby boy who turned ONE last week.  How that's even possible, I don't know.  But this last year of knowing him has been such a joy.  He's the gift we received that was so unexpected.  The very best kind of gift.

+ my growing business.  I never ever thought I would be running my own biz, but I am.  And I am completely loving it.  I've grown in ways I never wanted to grow in, but it's been so good.  I love the relationships that have grown, the skills I've developed, and the product I use, sell, promote.  It's been an amazing journey.

+ my friends.  I'm so introverted, it's not easy for me to make friends.  I don't have many and most of them have been in my life for many years.  I've been able to spend some sweet time with several of them lately, and it's always such a joy.  To have people surrounding you who cheer for you, cry in the hard times, laugh at the past, sing all your favorite songs with you, and can sit in silence and not feel awkward...those are the ones I cherish.

+ the lessons I'm learning from my 7 year old.  My girl has discovered that her love language is giving gifts, and she's incredibly good at it.  She spent all her money from her piggy bank buying me a "just because" gift the other day.  I bawled.  I'm so proud of her.  She has a beautiful heart and I can't believe I get to be her mom.

I hope that you have a list of things you're grateful for.  I know it's easy to be extra thankful this time of year.  There is nothing wrong with that.  But I hope that it will go far beyond just the next few days.  There is always something to be grateful for.

Oh...my word...just thinking about it again makes me cry! She is so amazing and will probably always be poor because she'll always be giving to others. What a gift!
