Grateful Heart || I'm a CEO

A lot of you who've faithfully read my blog (THANK YOU!! So grateful for THAT!!) know that I'm into natural health and wellness.  It started almost 2 years ago when I was introduced to essential oils. I had heard about oils before, dabbled a little in some I had purchased at my local health food store, and was trying to figure out creative and economic ways to have a chemical free home.  I started reading more and more about them and finally made the leap to purchase a premium starter kit from Young Living.  As soon as I got my kit, I started hoping someone in my family would get sick so I could douse them in oils!

Fast forward almost 2 years later and I'm running a business.  WHAT?!? I never thought of myself as salesy...the opposite, in fact.  But in October 2014, I got a paycheck from Young Living for signing some people up under me.  Nothing too huge, but a check nonetheless.  I went to my husband and said, "What if I try this?  Do you think I could actually sell something?" He was so encouraging...and has been since that day.  My biggest support and cheerleader.  15 months later, I'm still running a business.  A growing, thriving business.  I've learned so much.  Met so many incredible people.  Done things I've never thought I would do.  Tried things I said I'd never try.  Failed.  Picked myself up, and tried again.  Honestly, it hasn't been the easiest thing.  But I'm doing it.  And I'm loving it.

One of the greatest joys of running my own business is the relationships that have developed and grown.  It's been so unexpected.  So needed.  So perfect.  I get to work with a whole team of women from all over the United States.  We text and message everyday.   I've never met most of them, but I love them.  I also get to mentor a team of ladies here in San Diego.  It's so humbling, but so fun.  We get to be creative, meet more people, do events, try lots of oily things, and encourage each other. And I have the people who purchase the product....the people who make this all happen and continue to happen each month.  People who are taking control of their health and wellness.  People looking for alternatives to "the way we've always done things."  And I get to teach, encourage, and pray for these people on a daily basis.  How incredibly rewarding.

I love getting to do this job.  It's exactly what I never knew I always wanted.  And I'm so grateful. For all of it.  I can't wait to see where this business takes me in 2016.
